A recent trip through Charlestown Rhode Island to Misquamicut Beach in Westerly, Rhode Island resulted in a 5 mile over the posted speed limit ticket. I didn’t even know why the police officer stopped me, but nonetheless I went to court to get it dismissed due to my good driving history. Besides the court costs, the court session was illuminating and it reinforced some of the issues discussed in this previous article. Judge Erika Kruse Weller appeared right on point in addressing the epidemic of road incidents. God’s Speed! Unlike me, He can’t be ticketed.
